Executive Summary: Improve our economic situation immediately at NO ADDITIONAL COST to governments through a property market improvement.
3 key components of actionable demand, as opposed to underlying demand where friction and barriers lie:
Belief,
Trust and

Opinion
This is a response to Kristin Stegley’s (The Age Sep 17th) and the Age editor’s (Sep 3rd) articles. I respect their positions and I respect the opinions expressed.
However, I do not support The National Trust and Melbourne Metro Council’s heritage protection orders going onto on individual homes if the owner is in disagreement.

1. Sellers have more flex on whether they will sell or not and often demand big prices and just wait – sometimes they [...]

Although no one seems to be on holiday’s in Richmond with 300 people attending the auction at 8 St Phillips Street. The cute double fronted was in high demand, seven bidders emerging [...]

AS BUYER advocates, my colleagues and I attend 30 to 50 auctions a week and 100 or so open for inspections of properties in inner Melbourne’s million-dollar-plus residential market.
We are regularly asked what’s happening in the million-dollar-plus market, what’s driving this market, [...]

Boroondara is awash with property today and while still a strong day Alastair Craig put it best saying buyers were a little thinner on the ground at each auction than they have been over the last few weeks. Jellis Craig sold 33 out of 42 at auction and he felt that shows [...]

Iain Carmichael is a tough cookie and one of the best, if not the best, auctioneer in Melbourne. We exchange thoughts often and I find that enjoyable. The discussions are always quick, robust and, occasionally, I need a disprin afterwards. But I would never say that Iain gives you anything other [...]

For many years, Scott Patterson has been the “pin-up” auctioneer of Hawthorn and surrounds – well, according to the ladies we represent, he is. Scott is the “new face” of Jellis Craig. Our personal dealings with Scott have always been straightforward and, while we have had differences and probably will continue to [...]

It took us a little while to get to know David Hart but, once we did, we have found him a straight shooter, an accurate price and market reader and a person you can do deals with. He is actually somebody you can have a good conversation with and, when he does [...]

It’s 6pm Saturday and the James Clearance Rate for million-dollar-plus auctions is 68 per cent on the 19 auctions we attended today.
In this week’s Market Wraps, we are most appreciative of the time and effort Scott Patterson of Jellis Craig (Boroondara), Iain Carmichael of Bennison Mackinnon (Stonnington) and David Hart of Buxton (Bayside) put [...]
