He was hoping for hands to shoot up boldly once the call for bids came, however it was a vendor bid of $2,800,000 that got it underway. A bidder offered $2,850,000, a break was taken and then Bidder 2 surfaced with $10,000 at the recommencement of play. A couple more bids and then the property passed in for negotiations, selling for $3,200,000 after auction.
