Auctioneer Nicholas Brooks narrowly missed being clipped by an eager bidder who pulled his car up in a hurry as the auction commenced this morning. Although Mr Brooks needed to start the auction with a vendor bid of $1,300,000 the auction was soon underway with three bidders from the good-sized crowd. At $1,380,000, at Bidder 3’s request, Mr Brooks stepped inside for a moment to check if we were on the market. When he returned, Mr Brooks announced the property was almost on the market and with one $5,000 bid, it was. With Bidder 1 now out, the price climbed with $5,000 bids. At $1,450,000 Bidder 2 put forward a bid of $2,500 only to be outbid by Bidder 3, our latecomer. As Mr Brooks held up the traffic, the property was bought for $1,410,000 by Bidder 3.
