The crowd gathered indoors, spread throughout the indoor-outdoor living space in a feeble attempt to escape the heat. Auctioneer John Bongiorno began by talking of an earlier auction in the day, imploring that a similar situation wherein all the action occured after the auction does not happen again. Mr Bongiorno wasted no time whatsoever in offering a vendor bid of $3,000,000 in order to get the ball rolling. Asking for rises of $25,000, Mr Bongiorno reiterated his haunting experince from earlier in the day and said those interested should definitely pop up their hands. His words fell on deaf ears. That was until the lone bidder of the auction met his request of a further $25,000. Unfortunately, no further movement was detected from the crowd and the property was passed in at $3,025,000.
