There was spirited bidding today at 76 Andrew Street, Prahran. When Auctioneer Andrew McCann suggested an opening bid of $1,500,000 he was immediately met with two Bidders. Quickly the price climbed to $1,580,000 when a third bidder joined in and Bidder 2 stepped out. With all bidders wearing hats and sunglasses, expressions were hard to read. Bidder 3 added a few bold bids, but Bidder 1 held on. At $1,670,000 Bidder 4 added $5000 and asked if the property was on the market. A quick visit inside by the agents confirmed that the home was now on the market. Bidder 1 made one more bid but stepped back after Bidder 4 immediately responded. The property bought for $1,695,000 by Bidder 4 who was given a round of applause.
