The crowd gathered indoors for this afternoon auction. I am sure this was to showcase the space that was on offer – those being the pool and indoor-outdoor living spaces. Auctioneer Antony Woodley provided some well-enjoyed humour and made sure everyone was comfortable. Opening the bidding floor with a vendor bid of $2,100,000, the crowd was relatively silent. Asking for raises of $25,000, Mr Woodley finally received one, followed by another. Two bidders were vying for the keys. Mr Woodley pointed out the other interested parties who were in attendance and implored them to participate while they could. Still, only two bidders remained. After a quick half-time break, Mr Woodley returned and another short round of bidding took place. Eventually, one bidder bowed out. This meant that Mr Woodley passed in the property at $2,265,000.
