A crowd of close to 60 people, young and old, casually relaxed on the lawns outside 7 Tahara Road. No one was in a hurry to bid so it was up to Auctioneer Gerald Delany to open the bidding with a vendor bid of $2,950,000. Slowly and quietly, and after four agent visits inside to see the vendor, two bidders lifted the price modestly to $3,005,000. Mr Delany passed the property in to Bidder 1 who moved inside to negotiate. The property was later bought for an undisclosed price within the quote range, between $3,000,000 and $3,300,000.
