Auctioneer Fraser Cahill's voice boomed down the street as he called for an opening bid. The auction was slow to start with a vendor bid of $1,360,000 needed to get things moving. Bidder 1 heeded the call for a $20,000 bid. As Mr Cahill began to count down, it looked like this was going to be the only bid when Bidder 2 joined in. At last things were under way, however soon Bidder 1 was becoming hesitant and asked to make a bid of $5,000. Bidder 2 was quick to reply to each of Bidder 1's carefully considered bids. At $1,510,000, after a brief chat inside with the vendor, Mr Cahill announced that the property was on the market. Once more Mr Cahill began to count the property down when suddenly Bidders 3 and then 4 joined in, quickening the pace with bids of $1,000 and $5,000. At $1,760,000, the property was bought by Bidder 2.
